Adamo ed Eva Restaurant
Total Rating: 8.5/10
If you’re looking for beautiful views, a well-thought-out menu, and delicious bites, look no further than Adamo Ed Eva Restaurant by Eden Roc Hotel in Positano. I can’t lie, most hotel rooftop restaurants are red flags to me. The beautiful views tend to mean elevated prices for a deflated dining experience. This spot is thankfully an exception to that rule.
Starters
The starters here are insanely mouth-watering. For my next visit, I’m considering skipping main courses so I can try more of their starters. While they cost almost as much as the main courses, they are not to be missed out on. Check out Adamo Ed Eva’s full menu here
Seared sea scallops tangerine sauce, served with a salad of fennel and green apple
One thing about me, I freaking love scallops and they’re normally one of the most expensive items on the menu so I seldom order them. But this dinner was special, I had a friend visiting from NYC and it was her last night so we went all out! These are a whopping €30, after taking my first bite I knew the right decision had been made. and once I took my first bite I knew I made the right decision. Is €10/scallop a lot? Maybe. Is it outrageous for a rooftop in Positano, sadly no. Were they also tender, delicious, and perfectly cooked? You guessed it- yes.
Crunchy cannolo stuffed with lime-scented red tuna tartare, grains of Bronte pistachios, thinly diced eggplant, and cherry tomatoes
This modern and savory take on cannoli is so freaking tasty. The cold red tune tartare inside is fresh, perfectly seasoned, and offers a creamy contrast to the crunchy shell. I love ordering tartare whenever I see it on the menu and this one did not disappoint. This starter was also €30, and I’m not mad at it. It’s made of high-quality, luxury ingredients.
When looking at the other starters, I will say that two of them in particular are overpriced: the Caprese salad with local buffalo mozzarella cheese, and the Zucchini flowers in tempura. These two starters are typically around €10-15 even at nicer restaurants and here they are €25 each. I would skip these two and try them somewhere else. For an extra €5 you can enjoy fresh seafood instead!
Mains
My mouth is watering just thinking about this dish and it wasn’t even mine! This is their Linguini pasta with seafood, shrimp, scampi, and squid. My friend got this for her entree and it was not only a massive portion for €35, but so delicious. The red sauce you can see on the bottom of the pasta was so flavorful and perfect for a scarpetta ( or cleaning the plate with bread as the Italians do). As you would expect from a nice restaurant every clam and oyster was open and fresh. I’ve been to places before that serve the closed mollusks and it’s a major ick of mine, that’s how you know their seafood isn’t fresh. Anyway, I’m going to stop here and leave you with this note: if you love seafood just do yourself a favor and order this dish, I wish I had.
For my main, I, for some reason, decided to try something different from what I normally order (seafood) and while it was delicious, I chose the wrong place. While dining at Adamo Ed Eva seafood should be the star because it’s simply amazing. That being said, these Ravioli stuffed with beef, Ricotta cheese, Provola cheese, and Neapolitan ragout were delicious. It was a tough competition against the seafood linguine, but it was an enjoyable dish nonetheless.
Drinks
Now look, I don’t have photographic evidence of the drinks we ordered but girl let me tell you, I was FEELING them. I mentioned my friend was on the last night of her visit so we were just a bit sick of wine and wanted to get a cocktail instead. We ordered one each and it took us until the end of dinner to finish them because of how strong they were! First of all, they brought out a literal book of options which was fun to look through and their combinations were all so interesting. You’ll certainly find something you like!
